Public Works Staff

     The Walton County Public Works Department consists of (54) full-time employees, (15) part-time site attendants and (3) temporary employees.

     Steve Chandler, who graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, is the Superintendent of Public Works.  The Assistant Road Superintendent is John Allman who is also a volunteer firefighter.  Sandra H. Smith is the Office Manager, Alicia Mull is our Citi-Tech Program Specialist, Tamara Bonner is our Office Assistant, and Gayla Hanson is our Purchasing / Inventory Technician.

Kenneth Cabe, David Mitchell, Alan Tarpley, W. Chris Jones, Bruce Allman, Terry Conner, Jay Malcom and Gerald Jones are the crew supervisors at Walton County Public Works.  All other employees work to assist these crew supervisors in keeping Walton County safe and beautiful.

       All of our part-time employees work different shifts at the Walton County Convenience Centers.  Temporary employees are usually employed during the summer months.  In the past we have worked with the Monroe Area Comprehensive High School in the Walton County Youth Apprenticeship Program.
